No Man's Sky

How can I find a specific planet that was discovered by someone else if I have the planet name? Possible or not?
 
this is the best game i can't get into, no matter how many times i try, this and rdr2. The screenshots and everything makes it look like my kind of game... but i just can't.... I think it's because the planets are too close together.

There are some astrophysical issues, but remember, this was originally designed as a space game with '70s style and colour. This was originally meant as the biggest sandbox game ever. This is not just an exploration game, but when it gets you, 600 hours of gameplay come quickly. Before you know it, it's 2 a.m., and you're still on one planet. It can be addictive, like speed, weed or whatever the other is.

Yeah, i wish i could get into it, seems like one of those games that only grabs you after a 10 hour session. Hats off to hello games though.... one of a few last good studios working on their passion projects.

Was going to say the same! Maybe @Urist needs to play with a few people to get started. I enjoy the game on my own but it is fun to play in a group too. Next expedition could be a good way to start, not sure if there is one happening soon. If there is, it will no doubt have me hunting for pokemon :ROFL:

Think the problem with NMS is that its too big. You need an "In". 1st time I tried it I lost interest fast as I did not know who what why and where. So left it to play other games. This was back in 2019.

Tried again with Corvette expedition (2025) and that felt right. There was a story, ie things to do to get the one thing I wanted to check out (Ship building). After the expedition I kinda got a hang of the game and simply found other things to try and see. Shortly after that I was hooked and went proper exploring. Now its very much my off game when I just want to chill as there is no directive and I can simply do what I feel like, bar expedition of course, I have to come and do those for their rewards.
 
So after thinking the pokemon update was not for me, turns out it was kinda fun to have a creature battle against my friend :ROFL:

Had to go to the anomaly to play against each other as the tables at the space stations have an NPC to challenge. AI told me I could have a table in my base but couldn't find a building part for it, maybe eventually get it some other way.

Hoping there is a bit more to this update than the pokemon one ;) I'd love an expedition! Although I'm replaying Cyberpunk and playing BG3 with a friend so going to have to plan my gaming time hehe.
