No MTN data support after hours - WTF?

So I call in at 9pm to help a friend with his BBerry.
He wanted to connected his laptop via his phone.

We downloaded the desktop software from the MTN site, but of the 1000 odd providers, MTN is not listed.
Vodacom is and so my phone worked fine.

Called MTN only to be told to p1ss off and call in the morning - they don't have 24 hour support for data services.

Utterly disgusted.
He'll be porting his number in the morning.

I don't understand why there are people who still use MTN. I left MTN while I was a student back in the days. Never looked back since! Eita is provinding me with internet and Vodacom with calls.

You say back in the day like it was 10 years ago. What did you do for mobile between then and 2010 (when 8ta launched)?
