Hi guys

i got my new explora yesterday. i traded in my old dual view. did not op for the installtion as i already have a explora 2017 in my tv room. i am getting no signal or sometimes intermittent signal on my secondary decoder. also seems that when the primary is switched on the other one loses signal and vice versa. i believe its not the LNB or should i have gotten the 2019 version

It sounds like your decoder frequencies are clashing.. which model is the secondary decoder..?

Also, you may have to get the new smart lnb if you don't already have one and your frequencies are not clashing..

Will the clashing cause no signal , as currently is says -1 db do i have to shutdown the primary and try the setup

Should my old Smart Lnb not be addequite. got it in 2017/18 with that pricelock thing

The clashing will cause no signal related issues as you described..

There is a specific smart lnb model, think it is the lmx501, that also gave issues as you described and I had to replace mine as a result, with the newer version..

My decoders are set at the following frequencies:

Secondary -
Tuner 1 2040
Tuner 2 1006
Tuner 3 1057

Primary -
Tuner 1 1210
Tuner 2 1420
Tuner 3 1680

Check that your decoders aren't using the same frequencies and if so, change one of them..

They did run the setup in the shop setting it to decoder 2..... maybe something went wrong. will check the Frequencies

Having the same problem. Installed a LMX 501 LNB and purchased a new Explora 3. My old Explora 1 is the primary and the new Explora the secondary. Both have perfect pictures if on the same channel. If I change the channel on one decoder it gives a signal error. Please help. Steve

Both decoders are using default user bands and frequency settings which interfere with each other.
Set the primary Explora 1 to use decoder 1 settings using the installation wizard, and then set the Explora 3A to use decoder 2 settings. Save the settings each time. Reboot the decoders after completing these steps.
Done.
