Signal Strength Issues

I have recently moved to a new home and am trying to set up my Explora, which I have not used now for just less than 3 years.

I am getting a good strength and quality on Tuner 2, but am receiving -1 values on Tuners 1 & 3.

I have checked the dish and have optimised the alignment using the signal and quality percentages on Tuner 2.
I have replaced the LNB box and optimised its angle using the Tuner 2 values as well.
I am testing the setup on a new short (10m) cable from the new LNB to the Explora.
I have tried to reboot the Explora to Factory settings, but cannot do so due to the non-existent signal strength.

I don't understand why I am getting no signal on Tuners 1 & 3.

Thank
Norman

If only 1 tuner is working it sounds like you are connected to a legacy port on LNB?
Thanks Nephew

The LNB is new. It is an Elsat Universal Twin LNB model LNBUT10.6

I have one cable running from one of its ports to the Unicable In port on the Explora

This LNB is not unicable compatible, so the decoder falls back to a legacy connection thats why you only have one tuner

Thanks again.

So my solution is a compliant LNB, or is there another solution using that LNB?

Hi there the other solution to use the current lnb is to purchase a smart switch but the smart switch is twice that a smart lnb would cost you. So cheaper to purchase a smart lnb and just swap it out using the same lnb alignment as the old lnb.
