Hi there. I was hoping to get you guys's opinion on a problem I have. I'm helping someone with a PC they have. Someone installed Windows 7 for them, and seems like they upgraded their Vodafone K3565-Z 3G modem as well. The person asked me to reinstall XP.
The only problem I have is that the modem, after finally installing the Mobile connect Lite software, says there is no SIM card installed! Could this be because of the upgraded firmware of the device? It worked on Win7.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi Pavan.

It's just a plain old 32-bit CPU, with 32bit OS.

From personal experience, I have found that Windows 7 does not like VMC Lite. I've seen strange problems with it.

So I always install a full blown copy of VMC on a Windows 7 machine. Either VMC 9.4.4 or the latest version VMC 10. Both available from the Vodacom website.

Not sure about your modem, but with K3570-Z I was confused that SIM card was in place, but it wasn't moved to the end of the pocket. You can quick check, If SIM is inserted correctly, modem should register to the network (LED single flash green or blue) once is inserted to the USB port.
