No Sound - TV Tuner

Hi

My current setup:

HD PVR 2P linked to TV and RF Out going to bedroom
Xtraview link to 1130 decoder - currently not linked to a TV.

I have bought a TV Card (El' Cheapo @ R150) and have linked the Coaxial Cable from the RF Out to the TV Tuner.

I successfully get a picture on PC, but the sound is static, with the talking faint in the background (can't hear a word).

What could the problem be? Any ideas / suggestions?

See if you can find the settings where you select the PAL type and change it until you get sound. Most of these devices default to PAL-B which has a different sound channel than what SA uses. I can't remember which one we do use, so you'll have to try them until one works.

Thanks mate - actually tried already as I believe we use PAL-I. I have checked that the 2P and TV software are set to same and still just the muffled noise

Could the coaxial be incorrectly connected even if I get good pic?

Sadly it was two words in my first post that was the answer 'El Cheapo'. Bought a USB Tuner from Matrix on the way home, Voila - I have sound!
