Telkom has made it clear that leave will not be granted to employees involved in a Communication Workers Union march next week

My line was down for 3 weeks, I logged the fault, when it was fixed the fault was closed and a credit was passed on my account.

Wow, that has never happened to me. Line was down for 2 weeks once, with the fault logged and eventually they "fixed" it and didn't get any credit. The line died again 2 weeks later and then just cancelled it.

Luckily now we live in a new area that has recently been upgraded and now ADSL runs like a dream.

If you have the fault numbers.. contact the finance department and request a credit then.

We are now approaching December and I don't quite remember a quiet month which went through with no strike action / march news since January.

Right... this is something I agree with... no work no pay.... good... wanna march be prepared for the results. they are never what people want anyway Yes they will read the memorandum, yes they may decide to do something about it... But now that those involved are willing to risk their income that shows that this is not just another crying session. Lets see how many actually attend this march as they are aware they won't be getting paid.

It is the default and the law. It should really only be news if they were paid.
