"No work, No pay" says Telkom

Wish the customers could apply the same no work, no pay option to the service telkom provides us. My line doesn't work, you don't get paid.

Log a fault...

My line was down for 3 weeks, I logged the fault, when it was fixed the fault was closed and a credit was passed on my account.

lol. lets see how this goes down, people in this country don't quite accept that they actually have to work to get paid.

Wow, that has never happened to me. Line was down for 2 weeks once, with the fault logged and eventually they "fixed" it and didn't get any credit. The line died again 2 weeks later and then just cancelled it.

Luckily now we live in a new area that has recently been upgraded and now ADSL runs like a dream.

If you have the fault numbers.. contact the finance department and request a credit then.

We are now approaching December and I don't quite remember a quiet month which went through with no strike action / march news since January.

Right... this is something I agree with... no work no pay.... good... wanna march be prepared for the results. they are never what people want anyway :) Yes they will read the memorandum, yes they may decide to do something about it... But now that those involved are willing to risk their income that shows that this is not just another crying session. Lets see how many actually attend this march as they are aware they won't be getting paid.

It is the default and the law. It should really only be news if they were paid.
