Noah's Ark project in US to move forward

If Moses could part the seas, why did Noah need to build an ark? No teamwork FFS...

But this boat was blessed because God sanctioned it. It would be able to resist all external forces.

Um, are you just not getting this? whether you believe it or not... that's what the Bible says....

There were seven (7) of each clean animal (animals that were to be used in sacrifice).

7 minus 1 = 6.
 
So what if it brings more people over to the creationist viewpoint?

What I would take exception to is if someone decided that this shouldn't be allowed to go ahead because it might bring people over to the creationist viewpoint. In the same way I'd take exception to it if someone decided that evolution wasn't allowed to have a display at a museum because it might lead to people believing in evolution.

It's nobodies right to censor the information that people are exposed to just because you don't like the impact it might make on someone else's freedom of opinion (even though this happens all the time).

Let people make up their own damn mind.

If they want to build an ark, then let them build an ark.
 
To be honest, I'm actually more interested in seeing whether the Titanic reconstruction will actually float! :D

Nobody has a problem with them building a replica ark, provided they don't suggest that it proves the ark story.

Fill it with dinosaurs, and birds and beasts, put it on a stormy sea for a year with a handful of people to look after them and then we'll talk.

They can suggest whatever they want.

In the same way that you can suggest to the contrary.

I don't have an issue with them building an ark, ol' Ham will make his money back and then some. I just find it very sad that people think there is a controversy with teaching evolution and that creationism is "science".

I also have no problem with schools teaching creationism but they should do it in the correct context - teach it in a some social studies class and teach all the major religions' creation stories. i would have enjoyed something like that in school actually.

As to the Noah's Ark thing I wonder if he will be building it using the original tools and materials Noah himself had access to and are they going to actually put it into the ocean and test it? THAT would be fun to see.

I'm not too worried about it being able to float, I would however like to see them put two of every animal on board as well as food and water and then live inside for the duration of the "flood".

I'd pay to see that! :D
