You cannot build a seaworthy vessel with the proposed dimensions of the ark completely out of wood.

I for one welcome Ham's endeavor and think he should be encouraged. If he's still alive after having collected all fauna known to man (and replicated necessary biomes); if he hasn't run out of funding after the largest timber order in American history; if he hasn't run out of time having made everything by hand from scratch (with eight friends); and if his replica ever survives the voyage; at least he would have been out of the news for 300 years.

Man that is a very stylised version of the ark. That isn't a big barge structure at all, that thing has a curved hull. Also what is up with that big fin thing at what looks like the stern?

You're looking at it from the stern.

Boeing got their drop down stairway idea from the original blueprints.

Doesn't look like it to me. Looks like I'm looking at it from starboard.

I'm still trying to figure out what the big wooden fin is doing... or is it just like some sort of drag racer Fast and the Furious thing where it just makes the Ark look faster and cooler? If so why not go the whole nine yards and add a heavy bass sound system, spinners, a split exhaust pipe, racing stripes and those fairy lights they string up in the undercarriage?

I think that's where the outboard motor goes.
