I need noise cancelling headphones for work.. My wife is forever shouting when she is in a meeting with her headset on and my current headset has zero noise cancelling..

The biggest concern is noise cancelling but it needs to be budget friendly and have somewhat decent sound..

I don't have a specific budget in mind, the cheaper the better of course..

I use Anker Soundcore Q35 for close to 2 years now, very happy with them.

Takealot has them for R2499 https://www.takealot.com/anker-soun...ode-active-noise-cancelling-head/PLID91373242

Comfortable, with great active noise cancellation, battery gets me 4 full work days with ANC enabled, excellent conferencing, cheaper than your more well known brands.

Buy the Anker Q20i they normally come down to 750 bucks when it’s on special

This is also a good choice

I bought the Sony WH1000-XM4s after putting it off for a long time (always told myself they're too expensive for a pair of headphones).

These things are magical. Used it while sitting at the same table as my ex-SO, who used to have meetings all the time. Really helped with my concentration and productivity.

That being said, I tried on a pair of Anker Q45s (at a duty-free). For the short amount of time I had them on, they felt the same to me as the Sonys, so maybe look into them as well.

She is emotionally abusive, please save me...

She has some trouble modulating her voice I guess, because of her headset..

Your wife is just one of those people... they need to hear themselves when they're talking, so headphones just means they shout basically.

But the Anker's are a decent option, and one I'm looking at in the near future.
I am currently using a pair of JBL 660NC's and they are good enough but they're On-Ear rather than over ear so the ANC is just about passable, not good.

Sony WH-CH720. Same noise-cancelling tech that's in the XM5's. The downside is that it doesn't come with a pouch, it doesn't fold up and it feels a little less sturdy than the XM5's. All in all great product and does the job very well

Some good looking suggestions thus far.. just curious, if anyone has anything wired with noise cancelling..?

I don't particularly need it to be wireless, as it's purely for work and won't be moving at all..

I'm one of those people that find it weird speaking without hearing myself.
If I'm in a telco with other people around (i.e. open office), I use a set of earphones/pods (Jabra 75T), but I only use the right earpiece and leave the left unit in its case.

In addition to an ANC headset for you, why not get some earphones/earpods for you wife ?

or rather than buying yourself expensive noise canceling ones, get her one of the el cheapos with only one earcup and a mic.

Our work gave us the Sony WH-CH720N headphones. I'm pretty impressed with them and the battery lasts for ages.
