There are three options, the top two on my phone is set to phone memory so check what yours are on.

Drone, Thanx. I think you are correct about the simcard, but how do I transfer my contacts from sim to phone.

In the phone book go to options, select mark/unmark then mark all, then under options go to copy and copy them to phone memory.

Available on the upgrade DVD from most Garmin stockists at R9.95.

This does not include the license but if you already have the 2008 maps you can just copy across the new map files as it is a free upgrade from 2008.

Buy the DVD from Cape Union Mart for R10-R40. Then pay Garmin a small fortune to unlock the maps and upload to the phone. If you support 'legally illegal' software you could spend 1 or 2 rand on bandwidth and download the key generator to unlock the maps:)

I don't think you can update your maps unless you purchase a newer version. That was the case with my 2007 maps. I haven't tried updating the latest ones.

If I go into Garmin, it says I'm running 2009...

It could just be that Navteq have labeled the road incorrectly..

Try emailing Garmins support center and find out. Is it just 1 road in particular that's incorrect?
 
Check out Nokia Maps (mapset V0.13h) it has places like Moorreesburg and Dwarskersbos on in excellent detail. Sadly Veldrift is a bit unaccurate, but it has all the streetnames.
 
Anyone know how to view the album art for music on the phone? Every single song that i have has album art which i attached to the files using iTunes. But when i play the songs on my phone the album art does not come up. I only get that default nokia pic as album art.
 
I get the same. some songs show album art, some don't. Even songs from the same album with the same album art, one song would show it while another wouldn't.
 
Another good map program is HandyMap by MobiTrak, used it on my HP palm pc with a bluetooth gps, works well, streets are up to date ect,. Far beter than Garmin, I had both and compared them over a 3 year period with up grades ect. I will check and see if they have maps for the 5800.;) I will test them and post results here.
