The "Tap Once" and "Tap Twice" problem.

This is not really a problem. Everyone, or mostly everyone, is complaining about this.

"Tap Once" = Selects the icon/file
"Tap Twice" = Open/Run the file

If a icon or file is already highlighted then you "Tap Once" to open or run it.
If a icon or file is not highlighted then you "Tap Twice" to open or run it.

That should be easy enough to understand.

Thats fine but sometimes you only tap once no matter what, like in the application menu. I like the tap twice system it eliminates errors.
But half of the time i have to tap twice other half once, i can understand why because sometimes there are no options to select. but i have to remember when... Its not major but its not without notice though, its acceptable and all

hey guys,

please let us know if anyone has found a movie player for this phone or please post it on here. i find it very fraustrating converting movie files to flash...and the converter posted here on the first page takes forever during the converting process...so far i've convertered 3 movies with no problems however it take an hour and a half for 800mb ...
very long ...

I think it takes about 10-20 min on my computer per 800mb?

guys pls reply asap i want to find out if my unit is faulty as im still in the 7day swap out period. Look at your phone's upper right hand corner above the volume rocker. Take your finger and press down on the edge of the corner next to the video call camera. Is there a little play between the screen and phone? Tiny bit more play than all the other corners of your phone?

Same here. More play on that corner of the phone.

Yes there is, and can i say omw, how much time do you have on your hands?!?

i don't think it's my pc ....maybe i must just reinstall the application that converts the video or something...

lol ...guys try the phonetorch app for the 5800... it's amazing !
i actually do need a torch, going for my car and back (it's in a very dark basement)
this app is a lifesaver ...try it. touch piano is also cool, pointless but cool

Where did you download yours..? I read that some people mentioned that it made their phones crash.

wow didn'nt know that...i tired it out this morning seems to be working fine...i downloaded the latest version off dailymobile:s60v5:5800 apps
there's a link in there as well to the latest download version etc

Recon its there to help 'cool' the WLAN when in use..

Everything seems to be in that corner, the vibrate comes from that corner, the video call camera, the light sensor, that dedicated quick launch button and if you're correct wifi&bluetooth. I think that would create a little "issue" in that corner with space & heat. It baffles me why it was designed in this way unless it was a cost saving method which is all good.

So if you plan on dropping your phone dont drop it on that corner!!

Anyone found a nice cover, or a local screen protector? Bit worried about getting the screen all grubby!

Oh and i used Garmin XT this morning to get to work... its just fantastic! Seriously this phone is perfect...

Now i just need to find a good e-book reader and i can mothball my Ipod Touch

does anyone know how to make installed apps show on full screen ? fo eg opera mini only shows on half the screen ...very hard to see and navigate ..is there anyway of making the app full screen ? please help...

Tried phonetorch...works like a charm

Just download opera from your browser on your phone (www.operamini.com). Its only 200-300kb and after installing it runs fullscreen by itself.

yeah i tried it out again last night...worked brilliantly...one of the best apps so far for me !

i know im gonna get nailed for this... i'm so used to windows media that i'm finding symbian a bit tricky ... with wm i was able to connect to my work pc and use the work internet on my phone...so i would download apps directly to my phone etc using the my works internet ... anyone knows how to do that with symbian ? my tytn 2 was brilliant for that alone
