Nokia 5800 V50.0.005

You can do a hard reset if you want it to go back to the out-of-box state. For the 5800 :
"Press and hold RED + GREEN + CAMERA when powering up. Keep the keys pressed until you get the shaking hands. That should fully reset the device, with a lock code of 12345."

I did a hard reset, but it was still the same . I then formatted the memory card and now Nokia Maps works perfect. I think it's an excellent navigation program, and it's free! I must say the new firmware is quite impressive, and I'm also impressed with Nokia for releasing an update for a phone that's almost 2 years old.

What has really improved is that I get a GPS fix almost instantly. The first time took under 2 minutes and now it's under 30 seconds. Previously it used to sometimes take upto 20 minutes, and I almost sold my phone because of this.

BTW, is there a way to search for intersections on the new Nokia Maps.
