Build Number: 00WW_2_22A

You are 00WW_2_22M which according to xda forums is the min build required to have before you can side load 9.0 Pie.

So if I want to get Pie before international roll out I gotta do June, July and August security updates then I can side load 9.0 Pie

But for peeps on August 2018 (00WW_2_22M) build can go straight to Pie.

Which means i'll probably just wait for official OTA. However looks like @BlackMamba has got a taste of Pie

Side loaded or official OTA? Also if side loaded did you do the phone method (copy paste, rename update) or the recovery method?

Also any noticeable change in battery life? Good to know the UI is smooth because it does suffer from a bit of choppiness in 8.1 Oreo IMO not a deal breaker but good that it appears to be resolved

Went a few pages back looks like others were also having issues being stuck on May 2018 security patch and it looks like it isn't network related

Side loaded it, copy to root and rename and dialed *#*#874#*#*

It has been good to been using it since HTC hero..... Lot of ads but I just block it from accessing internet

I'm stuck on May 2018 as well. It's hella annoying. From what I read, they pretty much stopped the rollout for security patches to focus on Pie. But who knows if that is what really happened. Seems like different SWA ID's get different priority. There is a list of what the latest update is for your SWA ID here.

I am trying to avoid side loading, would much prefer a proper OTA. It's the reason I got this phone. Some indication of when that'll happen would be nice.

Interesting thought the SWA ID was just the code for the update itself didn't know it was device specific.

It is a bit worrying though being stuck on May 2018 as from what i've seen we won't be able to go from May 2018 8.1 Oreo to Sept 2018 9.0 Pie straight will need to get each security patch first as they all contain different changes

But it is possible all security patch changes were rolled up into 9.0 Pie patch. There isn't much knowledge around this currently

It's also worrying that they've held back tiny security patch updates to certain devices. I mean I understand a phased roll out for a major release like 9.0 Pie but monthly security updates seems odd that some are on May 2018. I've also seen some people in Europe saying they're stuck on July 2018.

Would expect to see everyone on August 2018 waiting for major release

Regarding side loading using this method there are conflicting reports some people say side loading any update will void your warranty but some are saying no if you use the phone method its basically just forcing the OTA nothing warranty voiding happening there.

Whilst some say if you do recovery method then it will void warranty. Some say neither will void warranty.

The information just seems scarce. Have you guys heard anything about this?
 
Users from Finland, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Italy and Egypt now reporting to have received the OTA for Android Pie on Nokia 7 Plus so looks like its expanding out of India now.
