Nokia E-series

The E60 is a VERY nice phone and not to make it available is just cruel!

Good day,

I've made it aware that there are a lot of people unhappy with this and I will adivse on the feedback ASAP

Hi MTNDD, I was wondering if you'd heard anything about the Nokia E60, yet.

I visited my usual MTN retailer today. She'd made enquiries about the E60, and she'd been told that MTN's market research had indicated that there would be no demand for the phone. I wonder amongst whom they did that research. I wonder if they have explored what is selling in other markets overseas. This seems to be a very successful phone.

Most of the people I speak to would be very happy with a camera-less phone. They have digital cameras for the occasions when they want to take photos!

Thanks for your trouble.

I've asked Roswitha for her comments and will advise ASAP

Thanks MTNDD

We have stock of the E61 cybernaire

Thanks MTNDD

Thanks mtndd, I'm replying using my new e61

I like the phone a lot!

Nice one

- It's a nice device, thinking of getting myself one as well I like the internet browser very cool and the fact that you can have a BlackBerry client on there

Very Cool

I installed Roadsync from Dataviz and within a minute I was syncing emails, contacts and calendar wirelessly. It also supports push email with MS Exchange and SP2. (It also has a native client for Microsoft Exchange, but I don't think it supports push)

The big screen is really awesome and allows you to view most emails and sms messages on one screen.

The browser is fantastic. It renders most web pages exactly as a destop browser.

The phone is a bit uncomfortable as a phone, but bearable.

The keyboard seems to be OK - haven't had any problems with it so far

The active standby screen (today screen) is a nice touch and reminds me of Windows Mobile devices.

The OS seems to be responsive and quick.

Nope sorry Barogue

MTNDD :(

Hi MTNDD, Does your "Nope" mean just "no news", or that MTN is not prepared to offer the phone? It's so odd to me that a first rate phone like that is just not available through MTN.

I'll keep pushing them!

Thanks, MTNDD!! Perhaps I should just settle for the E61, but it looks to be rather clumsy to use as a phone. I wonder how other subscribers find it.

Maybe you should start a thread,

Experiences with the E61

Just a suggestion use it don't use it

MTNDD ;)

And still no news of the E60? We haven't yet approved the unit. Once approved we should get stock mid Sep

availability of E61 with BlackBerry Connect

is the NOKIA E61 available for sale now at MTN service providers? Does it come pre-loaded with BlackBerry Connect? Thanks! (21AUG)

Mtn-the-best,

My E61 came preloaded with Blackberryconnect. You just need to click on a link to install it and you're there. I didn't use it myself since I use the Mail For Exchange client that comes preloaded.

I'm glad they built the BlackBerry Connect in
