Finally put my P990i to rest. This is a very smart business phone, love it :)

Thinking of getting one myself.
Any Pro's/Con's? Do you use it for emailing?

Yeah email works great, it also syncs with exchange server. One can also setup internet mail as well. Slide out keyboard works great too. Surfing is not the best without touchscreen, but gets the job done. Overall a very neat device.

Thanks for the reply :)
Gonna try and get the Red one :)
Just worried how much bandwidth the push email function is gonna consume

Just got myself the E66 to add to my N85 and N79's. Must say the E series Nokias are far better performing than the N series, cannot believe they come from the same manufacturer, chalk and cheese...

The N series is a multimedia range.
The E series is a business range.

I went for the launch, it looked really cool. The red one was stunning. I like the fact that you can switch screens from "business" to "home" so when you are spending time with your family, you don't get interrupted with business stuff.

I wouldn't mind owning one, but I'm getting an N97.

I believe so, but the N series seems so unresponsive in relation to the E series.. It's alarming and they using the same processor. Guess it's all down to software. Perhaps the E series are less cluttered...

That is a wide sweeping generalisation you are making there. You are lumping all the N series phones together in one....

For what its worth, the performance of the E75 is lightning fast compared to my SE P990i.

Yes it is and it's based on the my own following experiences, N73 buggy software, inconsistent performance, N85 hardware failure (ear piece) excellent performance yet not as responsive as E66, N79 supposedly a N85 in candy bar form but so slow and unresponsive in relation to the E66 and N85, I think I might have a dud.

Having said that N95 still remains possibly the best Nokia and cell phone ever made. It is simply so good in every regard. I'm finding the quality and performance discrepancies within the N series range alarming to say the least..

I probably should have gone for the N82:D

Well at least you have clarified that. Your opinion is based on one E series phone being better than the older N series phones you have owned. :)

You may just find that the E series better meets your needs. For others the N series may be better suited.

My father gave me his N95 a few years back as he said it was a useless phone, he then went on to get a simple Nokia that pretty much just makes calls and send SMSes. I loved the N95. It did everything I needed and more. So obviously each to their own.

I handed the N95 on when getting my N82. I used the same N95 the other day and was frustrated with how slow and unresponsive it was. Things change. Phones advance. Unless you have the latest E and N series to compare then you will always find the older phone inferior I think. Not sure you can tar an entire series with the same brush.

Eh.. the N85 and N79 are the latest N series phones. In fact their release time/date is the same as E66. N85 August 2008, E66 July 2008, N79 October 2008 (source GSMArena). I'm almost certain my N79 has a hardware fault but am so reluctant to take it in for repairs (N95 runs rings around it)...

If anyone has this phone, pls advise how to adjust the time it takes checking for new mail. Mine alerts me as late as 1 hour after the mail was sent.

Mines alerts me on time. Check if your time/timezone settings are correct?

I got the limited edition red :)

Loving it!!
