Hey again, I've finally downloaded all 6 files but phoenix refuses to flash it...Getting the following message:

"Currently selected data-package retrieving failed: 0x840818(-2079455208) - Framework: The digital signature verification failed becasue the signature file could not be found."

Does this have something to do with the absence of the .uda file perhaps?

If so, does anyone know where to get one for the mea12 Pr1.2 fw please?

I Just read iDenTiTy's post properly and found his old instructions- busy downloading NSU and hopefully will get it flashed properly. Thanks!

Sorry for hijacking this thread with all my comments! haha. I tried using NSU but every time I copied over the files and disconnected from the internet, I just got a 'download failed' message...The firmware that I want isnt currently available for my N8 (obviously). so before NSU starts, it marks everything as 'up to date' and the only option available is to reinstall Pr1.0 firmware, which is pointless...Can anyone help with this? Never expected a simple flash to turn into something so complicated! haha

Have you looked at a Nokiausers.net?
There is a guide, I believe.

Product Code Change

After having had a warranty claim for my vodacom branded N8 (059D2N9), the replacement unit has a different code (059B6T3). It immediately updated itself to PR1.2.

The reason for the claim was the power and charging issue.

Nokia admitted to some N8's being affected by a manufacturing fault (re: power).
Glad you got sorted out.

I have a 059D2N9 model as well. Keeps on rebooting. Now that I've got my old phone back I can take the N8 to VC.
