Nokia N80 or SE K800i?

I have looked at the K800i a bit and done some research and it became clear not too expect much in this area, so I would be prepared for it.
The N80 is much better in this area, especially the video recording.

Exellence video recording,as good as my 6 mpixel digital camera video and battary life not too bad, I can get up to 5 days with minimal use.harder usage about 3days with my N80.
 
N80 really nice

Hi guys, I battled for 2 weeks tryna decide between these 2 phones. I went for the N80 and im chuffed with it. Great camera but only in good light. Battery life hasnt been an issue with mine, i get about 3 days with normal use. Doesnt bother me 2 much. Otherwise great phone, has its bugs but nothing to bad.

I'v had the k800i for 2months now and im quite happy wiht it.

lens cover DOES come loose in ur pocket.. but the fone detects no use after 30sec and switches the cam off.

the battery life aint that bad. i use it all the time and charge every 3days. (inc taking pics)

vid isnt that bad... good enough

no freezing on my side as yet? (touches wood)

Ringtone is amazingly loud! and crisp!

camera is the best iv used. go out clubbing often and take pics on the dance floor and with the xeon flash the pics ar egreat. my mates 5mp DigiCam takes slightly better pics... but i dont have 2 carry a fone AND a camera.

That is one thing that would put me right off. My mate has a K800i and you can't hear when he gets an sms even when the volume is right up, and it doesn't matter what tone you choose.

For me, the K800i is too bulky as well. Much bigger than the K750i which I have and am very happy with atm.

Don't know anything about the Nokia, cept that the screen is certainly bigger. One thing that SE have to work on is getting the screen size increased!
 
Next year when I renew my contract, I'm going to have a hard time parting with my k750i :)

My k750i is a swiss army knife to me, apart from a phone, the camera rocks, the LED flash doubles as a really bright torch which I use regularly @ work for peering into dusty servers, it plays mp3s well enough for those long boring car rides.. the only thing I wish the k750i had was 3G, then it would be the perfect phone.

I always found the move to the new K-series a bit hard, but I always adapted to it and was really impressed.

SE always revolutionises the upgrade for each phone.

From the K700 to the K750 I was really impressed, and now from the K750 to the K800, its much better IMO.
 
Does the K800 also charge straight off the usb data cable like the k750i did? That's one of the absolute joys about my k750i, since I keep the data cable in my notebook bag.

Also, my k750i works like a dream in Linux with GPRS dialup and accessing the memory stick.

Oh, I wanted to ask whoever owns the K800i...

Do the themes change the font size or colour of the text when you READ SMS's? The k750i had a small black on white font when reading, but writing SMS's had a nice bold font, which changed according to the theme.

I always found reading SMS's on my k750i to be a bit hard to see.

Ye I know what you mean, and its fixed, its bolder, but it also depends on the theme you using.

They also increased the sms memory storage, the screen is far better and bigger.
Its exactly how it should be, the K750 on steroids!
It does charge with USB.

One more thing, I have unconfirmed but very Legit information that the K850/K900 will be anounced very soon, theres also a slim, W880 to be anounced tomorow!;)
 
That phone (K850/K900) will prob only arrive sometime late this year(read long term e.g next year(2008).

Exactly. If i could upgrade right now, there wouldn't be another phone i would rather have..
