Doubt you gonna get it at R359pm. New prices are out and its a bit more.

I have an N95 8Gb and read the reviews of this phone, i am not convinced. Too many reviews have mixed feelings and that doesnt bode well for me. I am looking at other phones, maybe something Android, or a blackberry.

The reviews are indeed a mixed bag making this a risky acquisition. I've provided more links to reviews on other N97 related threads. Reviews written by new owners must be carefully considered. A more balanced opinion comes later, much later in most cases. I rather trust the opinions of reviewers not exited by their latest personal acquisitions.

The N97 enters some wild waters. Great new phones are on the way that will set new standards that may make the N97 look ancient 6 months from now. It's a time to be very careful now ... not a time to make hasty acquisitions on 24 month contracts.

How I see it. BTW I'm a very happy E90 owner (user for two years), and have been using Nokias since 1995 ... so I'm not anti Nokia in any way. I'm just very disappointed with the N97 (when comparing it to what the E90 was when it was launched two years ago).

@BeVonk!

You make a valid point, but I'm not sure if reviews are always good to go on.

I've currenly got an N73, which has received a pretty good rating on GSMArena, but there are actually some things that annoy me.

I don't think we'll ever find the perfect phone, but for me the N97 just seems to have the balance of features I'd really like to have.

Thanks for the sobering viewpoint though.

thats why im platinum..:p upgrade every 12 months..which ROCKS!:D

Reviews are very helpful IF you're willing to read more than that offered by GSMArena. Most people get stuck at this site and when they 'hear' what they want to 'hear' at GSMArena they go out and get the phone. Personally, I'm very wary of GSMArena. They provide lots of info in their reviews ... but lots of info doesn't automatically translate into accurate unbiassed reviews/opinions. I've found BoyGeniusReport (one example) to be more honest, but the right approach is to get as many reviews as you can (and google/bing makes that easy). A lot of money goes into these choices, so good open minded homework is essential.

yes black ...

PS: i phoned another MTN store in fourways who are sold out and yes it is R359pm x24 with no pay in on a nokia N97 ... case closed!
