I was wondering how/if this will work.
If i have a Gbps switch, and 4 PC's running Gbps NIC's. Obviously the will all have 1Gbps (Running the correct cables aswell.)
Now, I want to add another two computers to the mix, but my switch is full, so I want to add another switch which is not Gbps, but a 100mbs switch. So if i take off one PC from the gigabit switch, connect the gigabit switch and the 100mb switch together, and put the now three computers on the 100mbs switch. Will the three computers be running 100mbs and the other 3 1Gbps?
Or is it really a case of your network is as slow as the slowest device?
