Wel last night, or should I say about 1.30 this morning I played my first online game. Dont know if anyone remembers me getting shot to ****? (Askari-za)

Anyways, would appreciate if you guys could take me under your wing when next you see me:D

Heh - if you see any |WrG| players - just join their squad. They'll be more than happy to TK^H^H^H err.. help you.

:D

Heh, hit caps lock - it will show you the squad screen. Pick a squad (you can expand them to see who's where by clicking the down arrow next to the squad name), and then click join :)

Your squad mates (squadies) appear with green tags.

If I see you I too will invite you... In fact I see Fivels offer and raise. I invite you twice...

/me slaps myself

Sorry Fivel lost it there for a mo.

Nonetheless to see is to invite.....

:)

Drusky says:

I would invite you too but my memory (my own, in my head) will surely fail on the day and I will forget your nick :(
/slaps myself
/wonders if slapping has anything to do with poor memory...

Edit: Whoa, Darnit left the "remember me" check box on at work...
/contemplating creating some bad rep for Darnit... ummm... errrrr... nah.

Don't bother trying to join forking brilliant's (whatever) squad of sychophants. They are way too cool and will win the game by themselves.

yeah, whats up with those types? I got kicked out of a couple of squads this weekend. I don't suck that badly either. Guess they don't want me in on their little group hugs or something *evil grin*

/me contemplates joining WRG but doesn't know if he wants to get teamkilled quite so often ;)

Hi Askari, saw you joined our squad on Sat and then I headed off to another server..soz nothing to do with you ;)

Will make sure to look out for you..seems that Darnit and I are going to be fighting over you :p

Being kicked out of a squad generally has nothing to do with your playing skill..more to do with the lack of social skills of the other guys!!!

I was very hurt last night as i got booted from about 3 squads and im almost sure someone called me an idiot:D

Starting to get the hang of it now i think so maybe ill make some friends..sniff sniff

Generally when you join a squad with guys from the same clan, ask if they mind if you join them. Don't be put off by the couple of @ssholes that think they own the server. Look out for any player with the |WrG| tag or Zoidberg is also great and helping new guys find their feed.

Heh, |WrG| members for the most part always welcome anyone into their squads.

Though if they suddenly abandon squad and create a new one, you have to wonder if it's because they needed to spawn on someone else quickly, or if you've been annoying them ;)

Why don't those dudes who want to have group hugs password protect their squads so that no-one else can wander in? Rather than getting all pissed off when you join their squad because there is no other viable squad at the time?

Anyway, I've learnt to either join |WRG| squads or a squad of "misfits", i.e. not all from the same clan or not from a clan at all.

interesting - why askari as a nic?

Askari is my nic on lots of thing (Freshy is another story...something to do with the way i play golf)

I own the domain askari.co.za as well but use it only for mail.
It means Policeman or guard in Swahili and it is what you call the younger bull elephants that protect the old half-blind, half-deaf, on his way out old patriarch

cool - has some very politically-loaded connotations too...basically was the term given to MK/anc members who "turned" and worked for the security police (which s why i asked :))
