After finding out that 8-ta doesn't have cover in my area, I made a request for service on iBurst's web site, and the notice on the web site states that they'll contact me within one business day, well that business day has gone by without them contacting me.

What other companies are offering a similar data package deal to 8-ta , 10Gig for R200 per month ?

Just got a call - thank you.

Starting to sound like I might not have good signal cover.

About to be given the number for a local agent - lets hope the local agent is on the ball.

Was given 086-1000-248 for local agent CITC Wirelesss - dialed, but wrong number

I'm not familiar with the iBurst offerings, and was under the impression that it was a mobile broadband system, but it turns out that they use stand-alone RF transmission, and for this I will need new hardware and and antenna, which makes the monthly bill around R400 for the 10G package (10G package + hardware fee).

This is still far better than the Vodacom PAYG data bundles I've been using, but way more than the 8-ta deal that I was hoping to use.

The 24 months contract is only R199 for 20GB a month with hardware. Klaps the 8ta deal...

20GB = 10GB normal data and an extra 10GB for use between midnight and 8am.

What is your location?

i am in a very poor signal area. i didnt want to sign a 2 year contract so i bought a desktop modem for R400 on gumtree and an external modem from iburst for R399. it works perfectly and for R198 a month for 20gb, much cheaper than any other company
