Not able to access gmail from Firefox.

Anyone ever experienced this. Gmail works on IE but not firefox...just hangs and thats that.
 
I am talking in general. IE is fine but FF ain't.....say the page took too long and I have just redone the laptop and it seemed to happen a few days back?
 
Old versions of FF used to do that. Download a new version and try without any extensions.
 
Skrewed security settings in FF or misconfigured firewall maybe. Or some part of ActiveX/Java/whatever in windows is stuffed. dunno.
 
Sounds like you have No-Script installed!
 
No add-ons.....and how do I get the script installed?

By the way it is the same for Facebook....the request times out.

You don't he was suggesting you remove it...but since you don't know what it is, its not applicable.
 
Tried uninstalling firefox and reinstalling it?
 
I've just installed the latest Mozilla Thunderbird, added my gmail account, and it works for me™.

Also had no problems with the web interface so far - except when IS had some issues and I couldn't access my gmail via IS...

On an Axxess shaped/Telkom unshaped account it works just fine.

And I prefer to use Firefox.

Best to uninstall and reinstall the latest version of Firefox, maybe something got corrupted with the updates...
 
Firefox has always worked like a dream until recently... now its very often timeouts and even something called Error 102s? Eish....:mad:
 
POP ftw :)

I only use the web interface when I'm away from home or the office. POP is so much more convenient.
