MUDS are kinda like those adventure books you used to get. You read the first page and it says, "do you want to do X" then turn to page 10 or "do you wanna do Y" then turn to page 12. Anyone remember that? or is it just me.

Have you ever played a MUD? I have yet to see one that even remotely approaches that description. I've spent the last 10 to 12 years playing MUDs and they're thriving despite all expectations to the contrary.

I've always held the view that comparing MUDs and graphical games is alot like comparing books and movies. As much as I enjoy watching a movie I tend to find the book far more engrossing as I can lose myself in the world my imagination creates.
