Hi, my charger decided to be the dogs chew toy and now it is ruined and I refuse to cough up R750 roughly for a new one.

Has anyone purchased a pirated version, does it do the same job and is it a safe appliance to use.

Recommendation would be good, it is a toshiba even compared with other chargers I have with me but non would be suitable to fit

There are many universal chargers. If you are lucky, you can get one for R75+VAT from Esquire shop. It needs to match a plug, output voltage, polarisation and maximum load of the original one.

Surely it is only the cables that are damaged? Can't you just use epoxy resin to cover the exposed bits or cut out the damaged bits and solder on new wires?
