So Novell is giving out Novell Certified Linux Administrator certification (for free) after you have gained the Novell Linux Administrator certification (for free), after you have gained the LPI1 certificate (for free) and that is after you have passed your Comptia Linux+ exam.

It makes one sound like they all that (on paper)...:D

I do not have a clue what this Data Center Technical Specialist is supposed to do. Almost every folk who got the cert dont know jack about what its about.

A quick search on novell website dont give out much info

Anyone know what that is for?

Pathetic attempt to stay relevant, as far as I'm concerned. I work for a company with 12 large DCs (and by large, I mean 100,00 servers or more plus supporting network and storage devices) and several small ones (couple hundred servers each). I know a fair bit about the ins and outs of running a DC and making it scale. And knowing what I know, I would not want "datacenter specialist" in my title. Nothing that any of the qualifications mentioned teaches you, has any relevance whatsoever to the kind of stuff you deal with in the running of a DC.
