Just received this mail:

Hey Friends

Instead of playing the fool with you this year, we thought we would lighten up your week with a BONUS download window for all OpenBrowse users.

Download to your hearts content this entire week! From this very moment, until Monday, 6 April 2009, all OpenBrowse 192k, 384k and 512k users will be able to browse and download, at no extra charge to you! No jokes!!

For those whom have not yet discovered the wonders of OpenBrowse, herewith a short summary:

"OpenBrowse is an exclusive product of OpenWeb that allows you to browse international websites using local only bandwidth. "

For more information, you may visit: http://www.openweb.co.za/openbrowse.php

Kind regards

Good one MrB!

Good.

But I am on that 30g local + 512kbps openbrowse special, and it ends tonight...... Not sure if they will still have it for April.

We have turned it into a permanent account due to popular demand :)

I just realised when I saw your name that I actually know you, small world.

Openweb has always been good to me!

I believe that they have some of the better deal if you compare Openweb to other ISP's!

How come I never receive emails about these kind of specials from openweb?

Also, does everyone get to download the whole week, even those that didn't get the email?

Thanks

Must be a hectic day at Openweb. I paid with my CC yesterday afternoon around 5 for the account, and still not activated (assigned).

dam might just starting using you guys again just hope you sorted out your accounts ppl.

Same here, not by CC but, by EFT like I've been doing for months.

What made April different?

MrBeep! before trying to attract new customers, look after the ones you have.

Just curious if there is any official way to use OpenBrowse with linux?
As far as I could see there was no mention on any of their pages indicating that the ability to use the special depended on using a windows program, until after signing up when one is met with a download link...

Still not activated. Obviously I won't be benefited that much from this opentime extension as if I am get my account activated today, will only get the extra one day download instead of 3-4.......

Activated eventually with Mr.Beep's help yesterday. (I though I edited this reply already with update)

This is indeed a small world.

How are you scotty!!
well i'm a qualified electronic engineer, which may sound great but from what i've heard you doing a hell of a lot better! congrats...

oh and now that mweb has cancelled their free uncapped local it may be a good idea to put in some discounts or something to attract the high usage local internet customers to openweb! just an idea (i'm one of those people that needs to find another ISP btw :D). its between openweb and webafrica (for the 30gig local accounts) but since i know you i may as well choose openweb

Good thinking! Listen to your old friend MrBeep! Introduce 50-100GB local aco****s at a low pricepoint- like R150. That is enough B/W for most, and will eliminate the 700GB+ rapists...

Get on it man! Maybe a PM/underground MyBB members only deal. :D
