ntv.mx

I tried a Vox telecoms unshaped account this week, it doesn't work properly. It buffers a lot and is quite annoying. I gave up on ntv.mx and will persue other online TV streaming suppliers.

Buffering makes anything unwatchable IMO especially when paying for the service. Give offsidestreams a try! If you fiddle around on the site you actually get to a point where you can sign up despite the link from the first page saying registrations are closed.

Does it have an XBMC addon?

www.liverugbytv.com

will show you which channel the game is on, then navigate to it on ntv.

I see some delayed games here and there.

kodibuntu(xbmc) plugin works.

So i am going to test this out:

1. OpenElec with XBMC Plugin
2. NTV.mx - UK Premium Package 30 Days @ 14.49 Euros (24 Hours To Test)
3. Afrihost Business Uncapped 8MB Account
4. Testing Started :)

Test Results = TBC in 24 Hours

You should also try with Web Africa's free cap as well. For the most part WA streams much better than AH.

Been using NTV services since jan without any major issues. Trying uk premium this month as my kids love animal planet etc plus you also get sky sports. Not fussed about the HD channels as SD looks great on my Panasonic plasma.

What line speed and ISP do you have? The last time I was with ntv.mx the buffering caused by their side ruined the experience, is this still the case?

WA 4mb Home Uncapped - streaming SD and HD channels without any issues.

I was using them last year but then they started having buffering issues on all of the channels - looks like they've sorted themselves out. Will give it another try during some heavy sporting periods and see if it still holds up.

I discontinued my NTV subscription because of the lack of Sky Sports F1 HD. Will rejoin the instant it becomes available.

What was the quality of the Sky Sports F1 SD channel like? Also, any buffering issues as that was the reason I left a while back?

It works okay in a browser, but was pretty rubbish with XBMC. It buffered frequently despite the appalling quality. Without HD there's just no point imo. A real shame, because the content on that channel is amazing.

Agreed, it's the sole reason that I originally joined. The SD is average and you could prob get about the same, maybe better on DSTV (although Sky is way better than BBC). What's interesting is that the stream seems pretty efficient when compared with other live streams, but since you can get free Sky streams anyway, it's not really worth the expense for SD only.
