NukeCAP Unshaped Proxy [- Free -]

Great news. Interested to see how your server performs with EU WoW. If I understood correctly you spoke of a peer in Sweden. Sounds exciting. MRBleep's setup makes it possible to play decently to EU during the day. All very cool contributions to an otherwise frustrating "broadband" experience.

Yep got the one box linked up to the other, this way latency to europe and us would be generally the same and downtime will only happen if major changes need to be made on both servers at same time.
 
Guys, this is very nooby but i dont have a clue what this is about. I see free and i think "hey, maybe i should try this out?". Will this enable me to play wow with the same pings i get from a unshaped account?

How does this work and where can i sign up?

Ive checked it out and registered on your site. But how do i use it? Do i use it as a adsl account, do i change my proxy settings? Thats the part i dont understand :) Im not a new internet user, just havent had any experience in this area!

Will this free proxy give me the same latency as a unshaped account from say saol? Thats all i wanna know, cause then its on like donkey kong :) I understand it helps guys to dowload faster with p2p cause of the shaping. I was gonna cancel my shaped and go for unshaped, but when this comes along and i can get the same performance out of my shaped with this as i can get out of a unshaped then its awesome!
 
Hi koosbeer, feel free to pose any extra questions on our forum rather, Im attracting users that dont read myadsl aswell to our forum and the same questions can be more easily answered at once there.
 
Ok it looks good to have the boxes up in mid next week. I will then have a week of various testing before making final judgement if its ready and letting everyone get their free account.

I will pick 5 users to help with the test, if you want to be one of the 5, please post with a registered nick and valid email address under the nick under the Beta Test section and please supply a reason why you want to test and what you are willing to test ie. certain game, certain software etc.

In order to qualify for this free package, you will need atleast 5 forum posts, and please dont go around just asking/typing useless info or registering multiple accounts, I will check and validate accounts in order to win.

Im sure there is atleast 5 questions/input everyone can give.

I will be thinking of random prizes in the coming weeks, for no reason whatsoever but to get users to have FUN.

Ive had this question a couple of times, so ill answer it here: This service(s) will not be limited to ADSL users only, anyone with reason, iburst,sentech I presume would be applicable here, can use this.

So dont shy away from this project only because you dont have ADSL.
 
I have also registered on your forum today clipse. Guess it was when I could not even walk in guildwars today because of epic lag .. do hope your free proxy sooth some of my strain. Anyways be seeing you on your board.

Update with regards to our Give-Away:

This will be a great service I am sure. I am also so happy that someone else is helping out and also offering the "free" service. I was not looking forward to my ongoing expense for the US server for all the WoW players that currently play on my socks server. (I have no need for the server otherwise as I have my home 5mbit connection)

btw I have heard it makes games like WoW very playable running through my socks server for both shaped adsl people and sentech.

So all those that were holding back to buy WoW because of latency issues, can now buy it from me at http://woworder.webhop.net ;)

For the 100 or so people that have signed up for my free socks server, continue using it, but I am working on moving it to a new server (100Mbit) which has gratiously been offered to you by someone on this board. (I am not sure if he wants to be known or if I even know his nick here)
