NukeCAP Unshaped Proxy [- Free -]

lol my wow supplier? :D hes a friend of mine, and i original got a wow copy way back but I dont sell WOW ;-)

Hello All

Loyalty is a strange thing, right here I see that some folk follow Clipse's model while others follow BEEP. In essence I doesn’t matter whose Proxy you use, as long as you're getting your through put?
Ultimately this board will determine who did what, when and how because every time you post you take a stand and your post reflects who you are.
The world is full of opportunists who ride on the coat tails of innovators, in reality though we need both innovators and opportunists.

.

mikes, ppl are trying to help here with the nonsense we get with Telkom. Does it really matter who started it? If it does then pls, Mikes, dont use the service that Clipse will offer.

U should go and blast those ppl who make different Linux distros then coz they all diff but use the same idea.

oh..yeah..great job CLlipse...at least u get around helping ppl out whether u make money out of it or not.

It doesn't matter who thinks of an idea, its who implements it best. MrBeeps implementation was fairly "beta" - unstable but proven to be great when working.
His implementation is evolving though, and I'm sure Clipse will bring something more to the development of this very good idea with NukeCap's version.

Last time I checked, there was no patent on an overseas proxy using an unshaped port to offer unshaped tunneling via socks.

I think there is a patent on prozac though. mikes you should swallow a few bottles buddy.

Their is really no need for all this agro here. What is needed is a big thank you to these guys who are actually doing something to help us all be able to use adsl for what it was intended for.

Hey guys, Im a bit new to adsl, im getting mine installed 21 September 2005. Im gonna get the axxes 30gig shaped account. This proxy thing, do I connect to this nukecap proxy and then I can p2p at speeds which unshaped accounts can?

LOL I find this all really funny. We sit here everyday and complain about our incumbant operator that has a monopoly on our telecoms, and how they need competition ASAP or SA is going to die... Yet when people who are working to help out all of us, some people get upset and say they are stealing their idea's and dont want competition???

Some questions?

How long has openweb been up and running and offering a proxyservice?
From the website about, 19th of August was it not?

How long has nukecap been offering a proxy service
From the website, December 2004.

Is Clipse trying to undercut somebody who isn't making money?
I do believe if you look at nukecaps front page, he stated on the 5th of August that proxy pricing would be coming down. Usually for me, that means the person/company involved has something up thier sleeve.
He also mentioned in July that the proxy service would be upgraded during August/September. I'm damn happy he has done that now and gone bigger than originally anticipated (even if I dont use the proxy service)

Its already been proven that the proxy service is good for one thing, and the VPN service is good for another, Clipses offers both.. SO WHAT???

[/Sarcasm on]
So to all off those people shouting foul and saying that a member of our community who has been helping out everyone for almost 9 months with his proxy/VPN,..... please get your facts straight... Or I'll start shouting foul when Mrbeep starts a VPN service.. OH wait.. he already has hasn't he... he started testing 3 days ago!
[/Sarcasm off]

I wish Telkom would get their act together as quick as these guys, SA's broadband would put the asian 10 mbit services to shame in 6 months!

Clipse Thank you for a great service!
MrBleep Thank you for a great service!

Yes, the proxy will work with ISDSL aswell, I have to test it with the IS uncapped offering first tho, since im not sure how much they actually manage the data going via that/or if the IS uncapped solution even requires something like this.

Clipse, just one thing though, this service is going to cost you more than just the server requirements.

Be prepared for the billion emails and PM concerning this, people will bitch and moan, even though this will be a FREE service

Hold on guys! get back to the technical side of things. If a service is not copyrighted or patented anybody can provide it! The more services the better, so please get back to the technical side of things.

No more personal attacks please.

lol antowan, I see you removed my reply to arcadies, it wasnt a mean intended reply tho, but you removed it none the less ;-)

Sorry if I deleted something that should not have been deleted Clipse.

:)

All in good spirit.

I'll be willing to test the service for you? I am on an ISDSL uncapped business solution...

hey!

I have read through this thread with amazement! More accusations and insults were thrown around than ANYTHING else!

I am very glad that someone else took the initiative to help out the South African internet community. Ultimately, we are all here to stand together!! Let's lose the fighting..PLEASE!

I am NOT in competition with Clipse, as I do NOT run a business. I run a non-profit service.

Let's all just support each other! I will probably be the first person to signup for an account with Clipse!
