Numetro FAIL for sexism

Numetro has had girls night on Thursday iirc for long time.

Thanks supersunbird for finding the photo - that was just a string of epic fail on my part, sparked by my mobile app refusing to upload photos directly anymore.

As for the point of 'who cares', I care because I'm pretty sure you would never see a similar poster for 'MEN ONLY' viewings of even something super-butch, like ... um ... Ultimate Rugby Tackles 2.

It's the whole 'blacks can't be racist' argument everybody hates, right? Only this time it's 'things are allowed to be women-only without being sexist'. No, and no, sorry.

They're just having a bit of fun. The notion of a 'ladies night out' is quite a common thing & they're just playing on that. You're reading way too much into a silly little ploy.

I know exactly what the marketing manager was thinking. It doesn't make it right. Do you agree with me that a 'men's night out' movie will NEVER happen, and especially not with a callous poster saying 'No women allowed'?

Discrimination isn't a 'sometimes ok, sometimes not' thing ... either racial or gender inequality are ALWAYS wrong, or they're ALWAYS right. So which is it, Saor?

I don't know whether ot not it will ever happen. Don't see how it's revelent.

If you want to stand there and be PC about every little thing that society does - that's obviously your right and choice, and if you think what's happening here is genuine gender inequality or discrimination...so be it. That to me doesn't come across as discrimination or gender inequality...it comes across as a silly little marketing thing. While you're at it please deal with Nestle and their blatant sexism:

You've never heard of a double-standard?

A sign prohibiting anybody based on their sex is the very definition of gender discrimination. According to you, this is apparently fine so long as it's not for something you deem to be serious.

You then compound that by implying that my concern is less valid if I don't personally campaign against every single other social injustice at the same time. That's clearly impossible, and is a weak distraction from the primary complaint.

Sorry Numetro, this is BAD marketing.
