Numsa warns ANC about e-tolls

bollocks, this country is far from sunk

Whoever the "they" are that steal anything metallic not concreted in (bolted down is not enough anymore) will push it over the edge pretty soon (power cables for the streetlights, railings on bridges, house numbers, metallic fences, road signs even in same places) and the ones who kill productive members of society (as opposed to the scavengers who contribute nothing).

There are just too many people in support of the union for a few individuals to attempt to 'punish' anyone. The same goes in times of strikes. If the union decides people should strike, they demand support from all members. Members who do not support them and goes to work runs the risk of being killed or injured.

The same principal applies to elections.

During a strike it is easy to see who is not striking, whereas voting is a secret ballot and the unions cannot see who their members vote for.

In an insane way it makes sense that people would rather not vote at all, to avoid being accused of voting for "an opposition party", and more so this time around: voters are starting to cotton onto the fact that the cANCer party is in opposition to the will of the people.

I don't agree with this insane logic but I have also not experienced intimidation when casting my vote (assuming my vote wasn't Mugabe'd into the ether).

Very interesting, they have drawn a line in the sand. The alliance seems to be cracking quite severely! I would be good for a union to actually not align with any political party in order to better stick to their mandate, but they do have credible options other than the ANC. Cope, Agang and EFF come to mind, but none of those really fit with NUMSA either.

It's more like NUMSA has pissed a line in the sand and are now challenging ministress Dipuo Peters do the same or get king Zumatello to do it for her (all before the tide comes in and washes away all traces of this ever having happened).
