Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

Same this side :)
Yikes, I hope it comes out soon. Lack of communication from Rain is really just sad lol. All they can say is “Coming out soon” or “Check our social media!”.
Went from Q1 2023 release to end of Q2 to end of June. And now we have no info on an est date :\

well to be honest if the communication is bad now even before the launch doesn't really bod well for a smooth launch or if there will even be one

It's a moerse project, lol, first for SA, I can see this kind of stuff being the future of gaming. Pretty stoked that it's an official Nvidia effort, so I imagine the compliance and checklist is off the chain, probably a hell of a lot of prep work involved. It's cool that whatever we're getting will be the best iteration of game streaming.

There's also no official Nvidia presence in the region, so I think meetings and stuff must be timezone screwery, not fun sitting in meetings at 9 at night, that's for sure.

(I'll use it just to take a load off my backup power, lol)

@Dean how about an update?
No changes yet that I've found, unfortunately.
Attempting to sign up for a NOW subscription through the NOW apps just redirects to an nvidia URL on rain.co.za, which just takes me to the standard rain user account page - no mention of the ability to subscribe to NOW.

I've had to deal with Nvidia directly before and wound up getting routed to someone in a UK office. Their website does at least list quite a few offices in EU(ish) so guessing timezones wouldn't be too big a challenge, even if distances are long.
(Will note that for most things locally, Nvidia wants you to interact with one of their local partners rather than them directly. Not sure how well equipped those partners are to deal with Geforce Now setup though, as I'm not sure how custom that hardware/software is).

Maybe they want to do something in-house? That would be pretty badass, lol. Jirre props to them, then, that sounds like a lot of work.

Doubt that's the case, I think AfriNatic meant they were not interested as their teams are too busy with other kinds of projects and venturing into cloud gaming would require a lot of resources.

While I might not like Rain personally, I really do hope that they have put significant resources into making sure it succeeds.
Looking forward to trying it out, whenever it does launch.

Can anyone access the GeForce Now Website? It keeps redirecting me to the page not found.

When I switched on my Shield tonight I saw that they put the GeForce Now row on my home screen, thought they released it but nope, just pushing stuff in my face that doesn't even work.

When are we thinking? November?
We wouldnt know, from early Q1 release, to end of June release and now we know nothing because rain would rather communicate about their dying cell service subscriptions

To be honest it should be sooner with a staged rollout, they had people sign up for there beta they should use it, start with people closest to there datacenters then roll out to everyone.
