Nvidia GeForce NOW SA launch

216W? My PC eats 380w and now I'm wondering if our crazy electricity bill isn't me and Gaben's fault :(

That's just his GPU.

Yeah just the GPU when I look at the performance using geforce experience in game. My CPU is rated 65w so everything together is probably like 330W total including sound.

If you game for a couple of hours the electricity bill can really stack up the higher spec pc you have.

I mean next get consoles max at 125W with the series S max at 95W.

If this is the usage for gaming pc's I can only imagine the power draw of the GFN cluster. Teraco power licences are crazy expensive.

Maybe GFN is going down after a certain time for the people testing still?

I really hope they launch the new plans today. The only thing keeping me sane during these days long power outages in JHB is GFN :D

Now that beta is ending, I will say Rain knocked the beta out of the park.
I was very negative at first when I saw the announcement that Rain were the Nvidia alliance partner, almost certain that it would be a massive screw up.

Very happy I was wrong about that, it works great and I am looking forward to official launch, providing pricing isn't crazy.

I just tried to launch a game now (Rocket League) and couldn't (it launched but just hung when loading the epic games launcher).

Does this mean we're locked out?

Indeed. I was also skeptical but they did a decent job. We want RTX 4080 though :(

Probably they got tired of all the Shader Compilation and Restart to update complaints and will release again when fixed?

If that is the case, then it might be a while before it comes back because there would need to be some changes to the platform to speed that up.

Looks like Priority pricing leaked early...was expecting it to be less
