Hi all

Ive decided to buy a geforce gtx 1660 but there are so many different brands and each card is different to one another. Can anyone suggest the best brand?i have my eye on the Palit GTX 1660 Dual OC from Wootware.I saw a review on youtube"pauls hardware" out of a few brands, evga, msi and gigabyte out of all of them the gigabyte was more favourable. If anyone has got a 1660 i would really appreciate your advice

Just get the cheapest dual fan model.

The problem with cheap is quality.ive been down the cheap road and what I payed for is what I got

Then buy the most expensive one.

They all come with 3yr warranties if I'm not mistaken. If you don't like Palit look at Zotac.

The 1660 cards seem a bit pricey for what you get, they're slightly faster than a 1060 and those are cheap as chips used on carbonite.

What gpu do you currently have?

Isn't he the person with the broken RX570?

Don't sweat it too much. Sometimes there are some confusion between cards with similar names and very different performance. Usually due to factory overclocking and minor changes here and there to the base hardware spec.

Most cards will be priced on performance though. The faster the more expensive. So go by your budget. Sadly it's not always the case that more expensive means more performance. It could just be that you are buying from a ripoff retailer.

Check out Evetech or another reputable retailer that is known for not ripping people off too much. You should get an idea of what you should buy. Also good comparative rankings like Tomshardware's graphics card charts. Note that some results will be OC (overclocked). Ignore them.

I myself tend to go for cards that are not factory overclocked in the extreme (nor with massive OC headroom). Just focusing on the more regular (cheaper) versions of cards keeps things simple. They charge a significant premium for factory overclocked cards with fancy cooling.
