a user in our forums posted screenshots of benchmarks from what seems to be a NVIDIA Slide Deck presentation. I can confirm that the layout and style is exactly what NVIDIA uses for it's presentations.

....

Until further notice the validity obviously should be taken with a BIG grain of salt.

Resident Evil 5
Stalker Clear Sky
Far Cry 2

I hope they're accurate, the consumer can only benefit from competitive products. Let the speculation begin :D

EDIT: Confirmed as fake by NVIDIA.

QFE

Would be interesting if the new cards are this powerful, but I seriously doubt that these figures are accurate.

Why would you doubt it though?

Do you think nvidia is going to release cards that cannot beat ati or at least come close?

Makes no sense for nvidia's new range of cards to be slower, they as well not release a new range then.

I am glad i waited because this will drive ati's pricing down big time when the cards are released.

heh, nice 3D Chroming Bars for nVidia and boring flat bars for ATi

These are fake.
NV doesn't release slides with FPS but percentage gains.
The numbers for the other cards are also way off.
Fake, fake fake!

Imagine how expansive they will be? I don't think Nvidia will have much luck breaking back into the market with their over priced cards

Odd when these types of benchies landed for ati, nobody believed them and they turned out to be true :D.

Nobody believed a single card would nail the 295 and called them fake but what look what happened :D.

The graphics "show" that the GTX295 beats the HD5870

Well, seeing asmy 5870 is taking FOREVER I might hold out longer and pick up one of these babies.. depending on price, of course.

Looks promising, hope to see more news soon.

Not a die hard nVidia fan. This was just from Anand's review, which was early so maybe some new drivers have changed the situation. Obviously some games are better under nVidia, and some are better under ATi, but on average the GTX 295 was slightly faster.

The catch however is that what we don’t have is a level of clear domination when it comes to single-card solutions. AMD was shooting to beat the GTX 295 with the 5870, but in our benchmarks that’s not happening. The 295 and the 5870 are close, perhaps close enough that NVIDIA will need to reconsider their position, but it’s not enough to outright dethrone the GTX 295. NVIDIA still has the faster single-card solution, although the $100 price premium is well in excess of the <10% performance premium.

Of course the 5870 still beats nVidia in terms of performance/cost, DX 11 support, power efficiency and eyefinity etc.

Ok ok thanks, I missed that part :)
