Good day..

I have recently just found what that Nvidia made a Window 7 version...

I just want to ask if one can have this OS, but not have a Nvidia card, instead, a ATI?

Because I read up somewhere that it said something like promotes the Nvidia card's performance..

So would it be a good idea to have a Nvidia card when installing or does anyone think it doesn't really matter?

Thanks~

I dunno about nvidia actually making it... but why not try the ATI version then? Some friends of mine tried it, but they were back to plain old windows 7 home before the month was over!

Does ATI also have one?

Dam it,, sigh, then I have to get it somewhere..

Thanks

Yeah I got this list, so I was just thinking, if it's fine even if I don't have a Nvidia card to get this..

Because my next card is going to be the ATI 6870..

I see...

I just thought getting the Nvidia one is really cool, but anyway, I guess I'll just stick with the normal one..

But if one has a Nvidia card, will it then be better if the person goes for the Nvidia 7? Or just stay away from it whether you have a Nvidia card or not?

It's a cobbled-together mess that has nothing to do with either Microsoft or Nvidia. There's nothing terribly special about it.

Windows Update disabled? Bad idea, nice way for nasties to attack your system. It's probably because this so called version has been modded to avoid activation, hence why updates disabled. The rest of the "features" are things you can either do yourself or download yourself. There is no reason to run this mess, and I wouldn't trust the system for security either, there's probably a trojan or something nasty in there.

Watch out using those custom versions of windows, they could be pre-setup with anything (back door, virus, bot, rootkit). It's not hard to make one yourself instead and even easier to just customise installed windows the way you want it then back it up/clone it for future re-installs.

Yeah.. but I'm sure you can still download..

but anyway..

tried 2 variations of a custom xp in the past, lotta nasties. It's like they create a backdoor to your system which renders your anti virus and firewall useless. Stay Away.

Yeah. I think from the above list, I rate I'll just keep my normal window 7 on..

Thanks~

yawn at over tweaked custom windows 7's nothing worse than having preinstalled crap that you won't use. Best thing to do is just get a nice clean windows 7 and customize it to your needs, not get some monkeys project that he did in his spare time.

Mm.. I agree hey..

Sticking to the real window 7 is the best options :)

TBH that looks like a pirated version of windows. Just sayin.

iv used NVidia with a ATi card and it worked fine but was told that "its tweaked for an NVidia card" so i downloaded the ATi version and well no difference.... TBH my games ran slower on both these versions... word of advice just get a really cool ATi/NVidia Background and a cool matching Login logo on a standard Win7 and you have the look of Win7 Nvidia/ATi and no junk that comes with these "Operating Systems"
