NVidia Won't Install

I updated my windows xp about 2 days ago, and after the update and the reboot, I noticed the text on my screen was now a bit blurry. So I thought maybe some video drivers got over-written. So I grabbed the latest Nvidia drivers and tried to install it.

It unpacks and then starts setup, and seems like it is installing then suddenly it just says "The system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, run the installation later." It does this with the latest download and previous ones.

What ever I do it will not work, I uninstalled the previous ones and then tried and nothing. I googled and got a few sites where users have had the same problem, but their solutions did not work. I tried granting permissions to all the Nvidia titled items in the registry, then tried deleting some Nvidia registry items, but nothing works.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if they managed to sort it out?

Thanks

Yep I have tried that thanks, also didn't solve the problem. Still wont install for some reason.

Have you maybe tried doing a system restore before the updates? It might help in getting you to point that didn't get you into this whole mess.

Yep I did a system restore and it all works. System restore was the last resort as I didn't want to loose all the updates lol.
Thanks
