NZBMatrix is closed

A very unpleasant surprise last night, but I suppose they had no choice in the end. Will have to start looking into this Sickbeard thing I guess, I have no idea what it's about or how it works, but seen many people on different forums offering that as a solution. Time to learn some new tricks I guess :o
 
Man what a pain !

Used to be a quick business to scroll down Today's NZB's, with groups, thumbnails, comments etc - now it's like throwing a spear into a lake and hoping to catch a fish.
 
What I really liked about NZBMatrix was my bookmarks RSS feed linked to SABnzbd. When ever there is something I felt like getting, search, bookmark and then view whenever convenient.
I haven't started going through all of the proposed alternatives for a solution, anybody care to narrow the search?
 
With nzbmatrix you could add your shows and whenever a show "aired" it notified the user but I don't know how to do it with nzbtown. I added all my shows to "my shows" but I don't an option to have it like nzbmatrix. Anyone care to explain it to me please.
 
I still actually prefer Newshost. I've looked all of those sites today and Newshost is still the better option for me.

It's a pity that their SickBeard integration is so scratchy, due to the files being zipped. I use them for the odd thing that catches my eye, but for everything else I've been relying on SickBeard and CouchPotato.

ha my newshost account still works

@mike - do you use sabnzbd? if so would have thought it shouldn't be a problem if the nzb is zipped.

Still works 100% for me.

I use nzbs.org as my 1st search provider in Sickbeard, it usually always have good nzbs, only if it doesn't exist there it fails over to nzb.su and newztown.co.za. I should probably add in my nzbsa.co.za and newzhost.za.net accounts in there but for now those work fine as is.

Maybe I am missing something...I cant figure out how to use newshost.
If I search for something, it gives some old results and all in one page. How do I sort it by date?
 
newshost.za.net and newshost.co.za aint the same website. newshost.za.net is the website you want to be on, however invites/registrations are disabled. A rumor has it, it is open for a short period on new years eve, although I don't know if that is true or not. If however you are with a certain ISP you may be able to squeeze out a request for an account, again, this is not a guarantee.

It will be open for a limited period of time and restricted to a limited number of accounts.
 
Didnt realise there were two different websites..lol
that explains why I was struggling with newshost.co.za

oh well....guess will have to wait until the new year for an invite.
 
Starting to see the effects :(

One american series not finding a source, and two british. Will have to try some of the other providers.
