Can I haz an NZBS.org invite please, anyone.

Mods: Delete this if it is eeevil, i know not wot i do.

I tried that website and it says blocked access to potentially malicious website :wtf:

Why not sign up with NZBmatrix? It's awesome. Also worth the R95 you pay for it.

I currently use nzbmatrix and usenetserver.com but Im getting quite a few ded DL's, apparently NZBS.org removes the dead ones.

I find it is usually some of the stuff older than a thousand days on NZBMatrix that gives problems.
But it's very rare considering how much other stuff works just fine.
Probably some obscure news group that nobody carries.

NZBMatrix isnt the problem, you can have a failed download from one newshost that works on another newshost, same nzb. Say, if an uploader uploads some media earlier than its actual release date, the tv networks go to extra efforts to get the newhost sites to remove the upload, some newhosts dont remove the entire download and what happens then is you get x amount of blocks missing and a massive waste of bandwidth/time. Thats where nzbs.org is kiff cos they remove ded uploads ensuring good downloads.

If they actually gave me more than 0 invites... I would gladly hand out a few. Best website I have ever used for nzbs at least.

How dare they give you 0 invites!! ;)... Please let us know when registration opens again, if you can find out.

Hehe. Reading the forums on the website, it seems the invite feature hasn't been implemented yet, and their devs still working on making the website better before adding more users.

The website really has some cool features now, for example if you add a sabnzbd client to a public ip, you can configure your accounts on nzbs.org to automatically add nzbs for you to the sabnzbd client, you can bookmark shows ect you want it to add for you. Pretty nifty, almost like a service based sickbeard, although I still prefer sickbeard.

Sickbeard, couchpotato and sabnzbd have flipped my world right around :D

Yup same here. Now the problem is...hard drive space. So my next project is a monster fileserver.

Haha... You took the green pill :)

I did same. The NZB downloads chomped up my drive. I started converting mkv files to MP4 which helped for a while and delayed buying more drives. The inevitable came though.
2 weeks back I bought another 2TB drives and created a raid.Z1 NAS server with FreeNAS, an HP Microserver and 5 * 2TB drives. Cruising now.
Starting the planning for the next server :)

Oh you then going to love my idea.

Going to buy a tower case with 12x 5.25" bayes, and in those bays I am going to put in Icydock hotswap bayes, which takes 3 drives per 2 bayes, which means a total of 18 data drives. The case can take 2x drives inside, which will be cheap SSD drives for the OS.

So I will start with 6 drives for a Raid Z2, then later add another 6, then another 6, all on the same pool.

First...to save some money for it though :(

Its just downloads would a person really need RAIDZ2 ?

You could also do the ICYDOCK 5 in 3 :)
