Oasis water after-taste

It's a bit tricky because in Europe and US, you are even allowed tap water.

Here it's strictly Oasis and boiled water.

I'll ask tomorrow when I have the opportunity.

Best play it safe anyway. You mustn't be exposed to germs.

I drink a lot of bottled water of all brands and never noticed any funny tastes with oasis so I doubt it's the brand. I actually buy oasis refills from the local dispenser weekly for R1.2/l

I've just been allowed to drink Aquelle (and still have Oasis).

No issue at all with Aquelle, Oasis still tastes like crap.

I probably simply don't like Oasis or got a bad batch.

Sorted, I now have Oasis from Pretoria (the previous one was from Centurion) and it tastes normal.

I must have had a bad batch.

Interesting. Maybe someone should inform them. Would be interesting to do a test on the batch you had from. Would make a good news story if it can straight from the tap.

Frog’s alive and well and enjoying Pretoria Oasis.

Centurion must be toxic for frogs.

Wishing you all the best with your recovery!

I have to drink 500ml only and within 6 hours of opening, which is the only purpose of bottled water in the article.

Additionally, I wouldn’t put my life (and in this case it is literally my life I.e. transplant) in the hands of a small bacteria forgotten by a lazy parastatal lab employee. The doctors don’t seem to either, and treating the water twice doesn’t seem like a bad idea in my specific case.

Consistency doesn't seem to be their thing:

I’m forced to drink Oasis water for the next three months at least (even brush my teeth with).

Although, for the pas two days (first time I drink) I find it having a horrendous aftertaste (it’s not chlorine, just weird and stays on the tongue) that I’ve been forced to switch from to Powerade (another few of the authorized drinks).

Is is the aftertaste normal/common/dépends of the batch?

Anybody knows why doctor want you to be specifically using Oasis and not other prepared water brands (that might taste better)?

Thanks

What water are you familiar with normally?

What water are you familiar with normally?

Aquelle, Bonaqua, Aqua Viva, Valpre, Pnp and Woolies water, tap water.

But it’s not Oasis per se, it’s Oasis Centurion that tastes like crap. I have no issue with Oasis from Pretoria.

I’ll try Oasis Sandton very soon as I get home and can only drink Oasis.

It's quite possible the issue is Centurion tap water then. Wonder what it is.
