Hitler became the dictator he was because of war, the UK and France declared war on Germany because of Nazi aims to take back German parts of Poland, this pretty much made the Germans helpless, war is never justified, if people on both sides said no there would be no war, people don't fight it's the (insert powerful group here) that create wars not people.

There was a documentary on the last living ww1 soldier, he said the same, if people hung the ones calling for war before the first cannon was fired there would have been no wars.

Hitler was a dictator before the war. He and his fellow nazi's got what they deserved and are deservedly reviled today and are the ultimate symbol of evil.

ROFL so naive. Firstly the Nazis aims were Lebensraum and creating an empire through conquest by force if necessary. It's all there in the history books so go take a look.

Secondly your anti war hypothesis hinges on the fact that everybody is anti war. It takes only one to break your whole delusional fantasy.

Is it not time you took off that tinfoil hat and joined us here in reality?

A quote from the Simpsons - "Your superior intellect is no match for our puny weapons"

It is the halloween episode where mankind has evolved to a point where there is no violence and the aliens come and knock the crap out of them with clubs.

The soviets were far worse than the nazis and the west allowed them to conquer eastern europe, how did the Soviet Empire crumble? not by war.

Wars are and have always been a tool of the rich.

It was the Cold War. They couldn't keep up and bankrupted themselves.

Exactly

It was the Cold War. They couldn't keep up and bankrupted themselves.

In Sufferwell's alternate history the arms race in the 80s and the Afghan war had nothing to do with the demise of the USSR :erm:

The war in Iraq is certainly unjustifiable. The American government lied to the world and thier own people over the reasons to invade that country. Remember, reason 1 was WEAPONS of MASS DESTRUCTION, reason 2 was REMOVE SADDAM. Well they removed Saddam and there was no WMD but guess what they are still occupying Iraq, why is that?

Hmm... I wonder, is it because Iraq is the biggest oil producer in the world?

Those that think the war is justified might not think it so justified if the war was in thier country and thier country was occupied by foreign military forces.

So how did the nazis and Hitler become so powerful and popular in the first place? it's a direct result of post WW1 conditions in Germany.

If there was no WW1(which was pointless) there would have been no Hitler, no Nazis, no holocaust.

Hitler was a lunatic, but the fact is the German people followed him. He promised them a better life. It's funny how people are easily misslead, conned in to evil and made to believe that they are in the right.

And in mars attacks! the aliens made mince meat out of US military weaponry. What killed them off?.... a song. :erm:

I'm not saying oil had nothing to do with it...but I think it has a lot more to do with this:

Fear of post pull-out turmoil which will also be summarily blamed on the US.

That is the reason I personally am not in favor of immediate withdrawal.

So you think the Iraq war was justified? Sure they told us about WMD and blah blah but now we know they lied are you still telling me it was justified?

Okey, but thiers just one problem, I don't really believe in Astrology. Sorry.

Still I think America is causeing more harm then good by being there. Not just to Iraq and Global security but also to America and it's people. Not to mension the school yard bully rep that they are getting.
