Objection to ANC's election claims.

So if the ANC had built two houses this is a success and they should be congratulated.

They didn't build 2 houses they built 3.1 million houses, giving shelter to an 14 million people who had none before.
It's over 206000 a year, over 17000 a month, over 500 houses a day!
That's different from 2. They should be congratulated, yes.

(I'm sure they would have built more but alloytoo ran out of money;) )

The facts are the ANC have not met their own predicted needs for housing and have failed dismally to get anywhere near what is needed. However don't expect the ANC to present the facts. Instead it simply claims to have built xxx number of houses and the fools don't see the failing to meet their own promises of past elections.
Really? They presented how many houses they built. Those are the facts.
That they did not meet their own predicted needs is neither here nor there.
There are other economic considerations involved, the country is constantly changing and they have to work with what budget, time and resources they have.

The ANC have not achieved a single election promise ever made of delivery to the people in 15 years. Why should they succeed now?

I don't know what promises you are referring to, perhaps you can be more specific?
But they fully admit they have a long way to go. That's why they want you to vote for them - there is a lot of work to still be done...

After wasting and stuffing a good percentage in his own pocket...

I rest my case they failed dismally to produce liveable durable houses that meet there own 1994 election promises.

As for other work this was known at the time of each election and the work load was not an unknown. What you possibly allude to is the additional work load produced by gross incompetence. Incompetence that has seen nearly every service devolve to a hardly functional shambles requiring even more money to make up for theft, loss and fraud along with the incompetence of almost all staff.

Can you spell excuses?

That is why I don't want to vote for them. There is no sign they know what they are doing other than embracing crime and criminals and stuffing their own pockets. 15 years is more than enough as a probationary period and the ANC have failed to meet any reasonable expectations.

The path to heaven is paved with promises. The ANC have been very good at promises for the last 15 years and not increased employment rates, not decreased the disparity between rich and poor. Not improved poverty. Not improved the standard of education.... Each one of these has been an ANC objective. How much more time do they need - best guess in 100 year increments gets a free trip to Zimbabwe or a free shower head.

I don't see how it's misleading - they're not claiming to have solved the housing issue or anything else - they are stating how many houses have been built by an ANC lead government (among other things) which is fair enough...

The DA should claim to have been part of a government that delivered 1000000 houses too - or whatever the number is. And all that with fewer people sleeping in parliament.

Cope should claim exactly the same thing - delivered without even being there - imagine what they would have done if they had been there.

Housing projects with business involvement do exist in Cape Town.
Thats why I said e.g. in Cape Town.

That's just it isn't it, they're not going to be held accountable are they?

One wonders what the past government was ever held accountable for?
Maybe its because the distributed the wealth of the country evenly to all of their Citezen.....yeah right!

The ANC will obviously paint pretty pictures for the electorate (and hide the ugly truth). Unfortunately the average SA voter will always fall for it.

Sadly many people appreciate that 4 walls and a roof,it beats a shack by miles. We can thank the previous regime for that.

For what? shacks? Nope those they build themself not the apatheid idiots.
