We have recently started to mobilise to site for the building of Medupi Power Station and require high speed coms urgently - Currently only intermittent Edge/GPRS is available.

The area still consists mainly of game and cattle farming communities, but during peak of construction, we expect up to 5 000 contractors on site, most of which will require good communication.

The site is located in the Lephalale (Ellisras) area - See it at longitude 27.55658073556804 latitude -23.71055803081684.

Who do we contact and how do we start the process of obtaining improved coms on site and even parts of the town? Even if it is temporary at first – I have seen mobile cell towers, just don’t know if Vodacom has it available for these or similar construction sites?

V3G, I have pm'ed you my details, if so required.

Got your PM, pretty sure I forwarded it, but will check up again.

Will most of the 5000 contractors be Vodacom customers? - just wondering :p :D.

I'll guess they'll be customers of who ever is giving proper coverage on site. Currently the two mojor networks are both sketchy..
