Hello ,

Anyone here suffer from OCD and anxiety related issues ? Just asking , little bit of a k@k week.

Hi

Bipolar Mood Disorder (Type I) with generalised anxiety disorder and severe social phobia. I'd say "Welcome to the club", but that might just trigger more anxiety.:)

Panic disorder, general anxiety disorder, social phobia.. I can go on...

Panic disorder and PVCs (which aggravate, but are not related to) that I've spent the last two years dealing with.

So indeed, welcome to the club :D

I have little bit of OCD like I hate people using my eating utensils, cups, mugs and plates especially when they leave crusties on them cause they never rinsed them with warm water, which gives me anxiety.

I also hate when the plan for day changes for no reason

Can't think of anything else which I do right now, but there is lots.

Jaa the OCD can be lekka sometimes ie bearable but really crap other times. I have many different issues like working emmory loss , intrusive thoughts , prcrastanation , getting lost in my mind like counting and making patterns from numbers , general anxiety , bad insomnia , symetrical OCD etc etc. Today was just a k@k day and I was looking for some support :) ! Luckly its home time now and the first thing I am gonna do when I get home is take a lekka swim. Its a warm CT day today

I beat you guys hands down. Palpitations like in skipped heartbeats. Tachycardia like in 180 bpm plus beats missing. Lying on a hospital bed all night with 12 electrodes all over me and listening to the alarms going off every time the heart skips.
Get sent home after it reverts to normal with a letter that states "Complex Tachycardia"
Now I just stay at home when it happens. Goes away after a while.
I have learned to get it to normal by "stool pressing" or picking up heavy objects like 20kg off the floor. Exertion helps.

I have noise anxiety. I cannot stand when somebody types loud next to me. I honestly start shaking. I permanently wear earphones at work. Typing on a laptop keyboard is fine, but when on a normal keyboard, those sounds drive me insane, literally. It's so bad I sometimes believe people are typing loud on purpose. I also get annoyed with the people that type so loud, which makes it a bit difficult being social lol! This one girl at work types so loud, her whole desk shakes, and she annoys the living **** out of me.

I know how that is.

Omw, that is exactly it!! Do you also have it?

It's the closest thing I've ever found to describing what I have, so I'm going with yes.

At my old apartment I had neighbours who would constantly play music with heavy bass. It would reverberate through the walls as a dull throb. It was enough to cause me to see red after a while.

The sound of people sneezing repeatedly, children crying loudly, sniffling, water droplets from a tap, etc all drive me up the walls. I can't stand it. I have an extremely low tolerance for that sort of nonsense.

Yes, I know exactly what you mean. I have to constantly wear earplugs at work - there is only two noises that drive me insane, typing and there is this sound that some people's mouths make when they talk, I dont know how to explain it, but its like a tsk tsk sound but more softer. I want to pull my hair out lol! And its true, I am kind of rude to the people that type so loud, they annoy the crap out of me, and I don't want to hang around them, just because they type loud lol! Having said all this, it does make working in an open plan office very unbearable for me, and I very well imagine I must irritate alot of people by being so sensitive to their typing. Its funny though, my own typing does not annoy me

I'm not sure if it's the same thing, but I abhor it when people sort of "click" their tongues at the end of sentences like some kind of audible full-stop.

Speech impediments (lisps and braying, particularly) annoy me. They're "unusual" sounds and inflections that shouldn't be in speech/pronunciation. I can't help it, I just want to get away from it as quickly as possible.

Fortunately I live comfortably enough to be able to avoid the things that trigger my aggravation so when I do come across it these days, I can tolerate it fairly well. I just can't tolerate it at all in my personal space (at home).

Also, I've grown to understand that the problem isn't with them as much as it is with me. They can't help it, I'm the one with the temperament/disorder/whatever you'd like to call it. So I try to remember that when my blood pressure starts to go up and just try to get away from it as quickly as possible when I start feeling like I'm reaching my limit.

A lot of people don't understand that though. And goodness knows most people have enough trouble understanding simple civilised courtesy and consideration for each other without our personal niggles factoring into it.

You have my sympathy, I can completely understand what it must be like for you.

Two things I can't stand are the smell of burning rubber and a woman screaming, so I resort to ear & nose plugs :D :p

I don't think I have OCD, my place isn't clean enough for that :-). But I do have a form of OCPD
