Octotel 200Mbps Upload Limit

Can anyone explain why Octotel has a speed cap of 200Mbps for uploads?

I often download and send massive video files in excess of hundreds of gigabytes at times. Having a 1Gbps download speed is great, but 200Mbps is painfully slow to upload.

Frogfoot, Openserve, VOX etc. have much faster upload speeds, so why is Octotel limited to 200Mbps?
 
I've often wondered as well. Sometimes I need to upload a couple hundred gigs too

Hardware on the street to support multiple 1 Gigabit speeds will be too expensive.
 
Generally stems from GPON being 2.4gbps down and 1.25gbps up per PON port, which then gets split 1:16 or 1:32 - you relying on "statistical multiplexing" in order to not saturate the port as its essentially oversubscribed.

Better safe than sorry I guess.
