I have been using iBurst since mid 2006; I have had a few minor problems but in general am fairly happy with the service.
However I now have a really odd problem. I maintain a web site "ngbu.za.net", on which the latest results of bridge tournaments are posted on a daily basis. This site was moved over the last weekend to a new site in Germany; since then I have considerable difficulty in accessing the site using iBurst, I have also had a number of complaints from other users complaining about access, asking if the web site is down, etc - and these users are also using iBurst! If I connect using my cellphone (Virgin) then I get through to the site immediately.
This problem is limited to to access on port 80. I can access the site using ftp, or on the maintenance port of 2082, but normal access consistently gives me a
"Connection Failure
The requested URL could not be retrieved "
message.
I have spent time on the phone to iBurst customer care, with no success - they promise to call back, but never do. Occasionally, after a phone call, the problem disappears, and I can access the site for a while - then an hour later the problem is back.
I am now getting desperate, and don't know where to turn. Any advice would be appreciated. I have wondered whether the issue is related to the peering issue; on the other hand it seems that only iBurst customers are affected.
