So I have Outlook 2016 (because my dad has a new system and moving from Office 2003) all the .PST file have been imported successfully (Inbox and Sent).

My only issue is that new messages arnt put into the old Inbox folder but rather in its own new folder. How do i get new mails in the old Inbox without CTRL+a and dragging it?

Thanks, here is a picture to clarify.

Under account settings change "Selected account delivers new messages to the following location", and then change that to the old PST

Edit: wording might be different in 2016, but you should be able to find it.

As stated above, in account settings go and set the old pst file as the default and restart Outlook. You will obviously need to manually drag the ones that have been delivered to the other new pst file into the old one. I must say though it's sometimes better to move your mails to a new pst file to avoid corruption issues especially seeing he is moving from 2003
