watched the extended highlights on catch up. beautiful to watch.

So two questions to all (because I can't really see these points just on highlights):
1. Scrums. How was it? Who was dominant? How was Kitchoff compared to his opposition?
2. Was the Lions just that brilliant, or did WP defend like children?

PS: This is the Lions team that us loyal Lion supporters have been looking for, for years. The way they approach the game makes me proud to be a supporter of this team.

Kitchoff vs Redelinghuys was a good match up, but Redelinghuys look better in most scrums. Wilco Louw struggled in the scrum. Mark Pretorius was not in the team and in the lasr 10 min Jacque van rooyen was playing hooker ( 122 kg hooker = scary :whistle:)
Marx looks class and next year will be no.1 hooker with Akkers and the bench, sadly Coetzee form is poor.

Johnny Kotze was Wp best player for the match. Mnisi is the lions best back line player in the currie cup and Volmink scored try of the season.

Apparently the WP centre, not sure of the name, is quite good as well. Apparently was in some HM practice group earlier this year.

Made plenty of metres throughout the encounter and capped off his performance with a wonderful try.

Quite simply ran the show on the night and his educated boot just keeps on firing.

Why is it when most players leave the Lions, they never are quite the same player again.

After thumping Western Province 62-32 at home last weekend, the Lions medical staff reported minor injuries.

Midfielders Howard Mnisi (hamstring) and Rohan Janse van Rensburg (shoulder) were injured but should be ready to face Griquas.

Hooker Mark Pretorius (knee) and lock MB Lusaseni (shoulder) should also be up for selection again.

Maybe Howard Mnisi need to sit out the Griquas game.

Pretty much a C side that, but expected. I see though Martin Muller is injured and will have to pass a late fitness test tomorrow. If he fails some changes will occur.
 
Martin Muller called off with an injury during training on Thursday and will only be assessed on Friday. Should he not be available, a few changes to the starting line-up as announced at the press conference will take place:
- Warren Whiteley will come in at number eight and also take over the captaincy
- Fabian Booysen will move to the bench
- Bobby de Wee will move up from the bench to start at lock
- Ruaan Lerm will move to seven flank
