I still think it is harsh to play against these teams at this stage. The Bulls better get through this in one piece, the Saracens didn’t play lightly against the Sharks and WP/Stormers. Then next week the Sharks wants to play against a Top 14 team, silliness when building up.

Believe Bulls' fitness will be put to the test in the final 20min. They won't be conditioned for these heavy fields.

But having said that. They have 14 subs on the bench so a whole new team of fresh legs.

The pitch is artificial but man it's cold out there.

Lions look good in Potch
by Brenden Nel 31 January 2015, 22:07

The Golden Lions came through their pre-season warm up games unscathed in Potchefstroom on Saturday, recording two healthy wins in the process.

Both games were against a Pukke/Leopards combination with the Lions winning the first one 32-0 and the second one 45-0.

Lions captain Warren Whiteley scored one of the tries, and was joined on the board in the first game by the likes of Derick Minnie, Courtnal Skosan and Andries Coetzee while flyhalf Marnitz Boshoff kicked three conversions and two penalties.

In the second game hooker Malcolm Marx scored for the Lions while Damian Engeldoe and Kobus de Kock also added their names to the scoresheet as the Lions ran their opponents ragged.

This was the only pre-season game for the Lions, who face a daunting schedule in Super Rugby of nine games in a row before they have a bye.
